Director of School Bus Sales

 Central States Bus Sales is seeking a full-time Director of School Bus Sales to drive revenue growth, expand our presence in the school transportation market, and lead a high-performing sales team. This role focuses on building strategic relationships, shaping sales strategy, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards for safety, performance, and reliability. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage the relationship with bus manufacturers, including Blue Bird, and production of demo/stock units
• Determine trade in and market value of all used equipment
• Coordinate scheduling, delivery of used buses, oversee the inspection of buses 
• Oversee and maintain communication with factories, customers, and the proper state authorities 
• Assist in calling on existing and potential customers to discuss transportation needs and issues, including parts, service, and equipment, and familiarize them with our product 
• Supervise all CSBS bus staff, provide leadership, direction, accountability, and oversee operations 
• Utilize Net Suite to manage customers, revenue, gross profit, and sales activity 
• Prepare bids and quotes utilizing each manufacturer’s system, review specs, purchase order acknowledgements, invoices, accounts receivable, and accounts payable 
• Field customer phone calls; handle customer service issues for service, warranty, and other technical issues 
• Manage operation in accordance with budget and be responsible for all P and L 
• Ordering and reviewing acknowledgments of products 
• Attending manufacturer’s state and local sales meetings as needed
• Oversee bus sales portion of CSBS website and marketing efforts 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• The ability to connect with customers, the aptitude to understand the technical aspect involved with buses, and being dedicated to serving the customers' needs are essential towards personal and company success
• Four years prior sales experience in the automotive, truck equipment, mobility, and/or specialty vehicle industries, preferred
• Must be able to travel to customer locations (overnight travel is required)
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred
• Management skills
• Must obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger & Airbrake Endorsement within 90 days of hire. Company will provide some help to obtain CDL.
