Quality Control Inspector - Document Control

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector - Document Control to join our team in Bethel, CT!

This is a 1st shift position with core hours from 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

The hourly range for this position is $27-$30 per hour.

## What you’ll do:

Eaton's Bethel, CT facility is a premier manufacturer in the aerospace industry specializing with creating components for commercial, military, and space technologies. Our team helped support the recent Artimus 2 launch with 65 parts from the plant used in the launch.

The Quality Control Inspector (Document Control) will support our QC department. This role involves extensive, detail-oriented documentation for package creation.

In this role, you will:

• Organize, maintain, and manage electronic files and folder structures within the Windows file system.
• Create, rename, move, archive, and retrieve documents according to established file management procedures.
• Use Adobe Acrobat to:
• Arrange, reorder, insert, extract, and delete PDF pages.
• Rotate pages and correct document orientation.
• Combine multiple PDF files into complete document packages.
• Verify document quality and completeness.
• Perform accurate data entry and data maintenance in Microsoft Excel.
• Apply and manage Excel data validation rules to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Create and maintain conditional formatting rules to highlight exceptions, errors, and key data trends.
• Review spreadsheets for completeness and correct data discrepancies.
• Create, maintain, and execute Microsoft Word mail merge processes using Excel data sources.
• Perform quality checks to ensure document accuracy, formatting consistency, and data integrity.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and turnaround time requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints of machined and electronic parts
• Perform dimensional inspection of machined parts using calipers, micrometers, drop gages etc.
• Inspect electronics for soldering conformity.
• Validate that supplier certificates of conformity meet engineering specifications
• Inspect and certify quality control paperwork. Transact operations on electronic systems.

## Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality functional role in a manufacturing environment required.

• Experience working with Adobe Acrobat Pro

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large volumes of electronic documents.
• Familiarity with document control, records management, or quality systems.
• Experience working in engineering, manufacturing, legal, healthcare, or administrative support environments.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, OneDrive, or other electronic document management systems.
• Experience with digital photography, SLR cameras, and cropping of digital photos.

Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows file and folder management.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:

o Data entry and spreadsheet management

o Data validation

o Conditional formatting

o Basic formulas and functions

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including mail merge functionality.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to use small hand tools.
