What this job involves:

As a Senior Property Officer at JLL, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial or residential properties, ensuring optimal performance, tenant satisfaction, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards. You will lead a team of property officers, manage vendor relationships, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance property value and operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all operational aspects of assigned properties, including maintenance, security, and tenant services.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and fostering positive relationships.
• Monitor budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure cost-effective management of property-related expenses.
• Supervise and mentor property officers, providing guidance on daily tasks and long-term objectives.
• Negotiate contracts with service providers (e.g., cleaning, landscaping) and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
• Ensure properties comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and financial metrics for senior management.
• Lead or support capital improvement projects, renovations, or sustainability initiatives to enhance property value.
• Assist in lease negotiations, renewals, and terminations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., leasing, finance) to align property strategies with organizational goals.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in property management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Professional certifications such as RPA (Real Property Administrator) or CPM (Certified Property Manager) preferred.
• Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) and MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with local property laws, tenancy regulations, and health/safety standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
• Demonstrated analytical skills to resolve operational challenges and implement innovative solutions.
