Description
The primary responsibility of the Automotive Equipment Installer is to perform Equipment Installation out of the JF Petroleum Group Shop Equipment Installation projects. The Automotive Equipment Installer is responsible for job completion, accuracy, review, and scheduling. There is a wide spectrum of daily roles including but not limited to: prioritization, planning, and quality of Equipment installation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with Automotive Services Management to complete Automotive Equipment Installations on time and within budget.
- Provide all information necessary to maintain timelines and timely invoicing of Shop Equipment installation projects.
- Understands, complies and enforces JF safety policies and OSHA safety requirements.
- Aids in the education and enforcement of company policies and procedures on the job site.
- Establishes and maintains communication and a positive relationship with other JF departments with regards to Shop Equipment Installs and possible needs for additional resources.
- Determines availability of parts and resources needed for completion of jobs.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, plans, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembly and installation of assigned tasks.
- Communicates effectively with other departments within JF as well as JF Customers seeking Installation Services.
- Maintains strict adherence to quality, and safety standards.
- Identifies the elements of project design and construction likely to affect the installation effort
- Manages job duties to meet customer satisfaction and provide timely responses
- Helps to monitor and maintain order in the Automotive area of the JF Warehouse at all times
- Monitors Automotive Equipment and materials availability to provide for normal installation projects.
- Works with Automotive Services Manager to develop schedules and determine resource requirements in order to maintain maximum efficiency and production on each job assigned.
- Provides proper documentation, as required by company policies and procedures (ie: vehicle maintenance sheets, absence request forms, petty cash reimbursement.)
- Performs regular safety inspections of tools and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
- Equipment includes but not limited to:
- Shop Equipment
- Reels: Air/Oil/Lube/Coolant/Electric
- Tanks: Air/Oil/Lube
- Pumps: Air/Oil/Lube
- Compressor Systems
- Preventative Maintenance
- Car and Vehicle Lifts
- Wheel Service Equipment

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Excellent communication
- Ability to plan and organize
- Excellent customer management. Ability to build goodwill with customers.
- Capacity to motivate and lead by example
- Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
- Capacity to handle pressure.
- Willingness to travel- Position requires frequent overnight travel while working remote projects.
- Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, background check, and MVR, if driving for the company
- Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds frequently bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
