Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician inspects and performs major and minor repairs on hotel equipment, thereby assuring the smooth operation of hotel mechanical functions. Reports any and all unusual conditions and situations which may endanger mechanical functions or operations of the hotel to the Chief Engineer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Effectively and professionally communicates with co-workers and supervisors.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected.
- Administers preventative maintenance program as required, properly completing work orders on time.
- Completes training regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Meets with vendors and suppliers to review the scope of work and the products and materials required for repair activities.
- Obtains pricing and bids as directed.
- Attendance is a key component of this position.
- Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with Company standards; wears the appropriate uniform or attire.
- Maintains open and effective communication with team members and management.
- Attends and participates in team meetings.
- Adheres to established safety and emergency procedures and protocols, this includes Company, federal, and state specific regulations and guidelines.
- Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
- Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum one (1) year of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services for a hotel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
