The Opportunity:
The Program Coordinator, with a business title of Membership Coordinator, is responsible for multiple aspects of our member services program. This includes donor relations and stewardship, on-air fundraising campaigns, data management, and event coordination to maximize net revenue for WUCF and ensure a high rate of member satisfaction and retention. This position collaborates with the Associate Director of Annual Giving & Engagement to achieve department monthly, quarterly, and annual development revenue performance goals. The Program Coordinator manages key member engagement programs, including the WUCF Family Club and Gift Memberships, while providing responsive and personalized service to WUCF members and cultivating relationships with donors, external vendors, community partners, and public media organizations.
Classification Title: Program Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Annual Giving & Engagement, external public media partners, and cross-departmentally on the development and execution of logistics for on-air fundraising and membership campaigns. This includes, but is not limited to, responsibility for membership events, member communication, on-air messaging, and thank-you gift fulfillment. Projects fluctuate based on the needs of our members and may involve non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Correspond with WUCF members by providing responsive, personalized service by phone, mail, email, and in person. Assist members with WUCF Passport activation, membership benefits and updates, and gift processing, including outreach to lapsed donors to reactivate memberships.
- Manage the WUCF Family Club by monitoring new memberships, renewals, and lapsed memberships to support member retention and engagement. Administer program member benefits, ensure timely birthday gift fulfillment, and manage exclusive event benefits. Review monthly birthday TV spots in collaboration with the WUCF Production team and develop relationships with external partners to expand and enhance benefits available to Family Club members.
- Conduct donor stewardship for a portfolio of donors with annualized gifts between $100 and $500 to strengthen donor relationships and support member retention.
- Process membership data and gifts in the donor database accurately. Collaborate with staff to generate membership reports that support member outreach and engagement initiatives as needed.
- Coordinate the generation, mailing, and fulfillment of WUCF Gift Memberships, including communications with gift purchasers and recipients.
- Articulate accurately and effectively the mission, vision, and values of WUCF TV & FM, PBS, and public media in general.
- Participate in WUCF television and radio Fund Drives as on-air talent, support, and at WUCF events as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Revolution or other customer relationship management (CRM) or donor database systems, such as Salesforce, Allegiance, Raiser’s Edge, Tessitura, or similar platforms. Training will be provided.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Ability to review large datasets, possess a competent level of data literacy, and be able to identify and communicate anomalies in the donor gift processing life cycle.
- Understanding of broadcast and streaming services and technology.
- Basic knowledge of fundraising planning and processes.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the patience and professionalism for troubleshooting donor needs and resolving concerns effectively. Knowledge of WUCF and public media is preferred.
