You will manage a team of 8 to 9 hourly I&E employees to meet the safety, environmental, maintenance downtime, quality, and cost goals of the Power department, combining strong technical expertise with hands-on team leadership.

What You’re Going to Do:

  • Coordinate with Operational Area Managers, OMCs, and Planners in preparing daily, weekly, and outage work schedules;
  • Ensure all hourly employees are trained, knowledgeable, and adhere to mill safety policies, electrical safety practices, and environmental regulations;
  • Manage spare parts inventories and Preventive Maintenance work systems, using SAP to manage work orders and request parts and materials;
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and hands-on coaching to a developing crew, building their electrical and instrumentation skills;
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance downtime, productivity, quality, and cost, tracking results through key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Foster effective employee relations, providing coaching and feedback and resolving issues through problem resolution and the labor agreement;
  • Support budget planning and long-term reliability strategy for the Power area.

What We Expect from You:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 to 8 years of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation experience;
  • Hands-on experience with high-voltage power generation and/or distribution systems;
  • Solid understanding of industry-standard Preventive Maintenance practices for electrical and instrumentation equipment;
  • Strong troubleshooting skills on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems;
  • Availability to work extended hours during outages, weekend duty, and call-outs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in industrial electrical maintenance;
  • Previous leadership experience as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, I&E Supervisor, or similar role;
  • Boiler experience (recovery, bark, or power boilers) and/or experience with turbine generators;
  • Experience in power generation or utility companies, or in industrial power houses;

  • Experience supervising an hourly workforce in a union environment;
  • Experience with SAP (PM/MM modules).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical Leadership: Strong electrical and high-voltage knowledge that allows you to guide, coach, and challenge a developing technical team while maintaining a strong presence on the floor.
  • Safety First: You lead by example on safety, especially when working with high-voltage equipment.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with outages, weekend duty, and call-outs.
  • People Developer: Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to build a resilient and capable team.
  • Hands-On Approach: Ability to understand technical details, troubleshoot alongside the crew, and support team members.
