Description
Helping others improve and turn their lives around – there’s no better feeling. It’s what we do for thousands of people at more than 150 sites across the UK. Be a part of it.
Are you an outstanding Junior Doctor looking for new challenges, career development and a competitive salary?
Cygnet Hospital Beckton is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Resident Medical Officer to join our friendly, experienced and supportive medical team.
As Resident Medical Officer, you’ll be covering a mix of day and night shifts, providing On Call cover between 5pm and 9am on weekdays and between 9am and 9am on weekends, on a rota of 4 days on / 3 days off every week and potential for Monday to Friday daytime clinical duties covering inpatient wards as needed (floating support).
This is an exciting opportunity to work across four highly specialised inpatient psychiatric wards offering excellent exposure to complex psychiatry within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
On calls are completed from home but the post holder would be required to come into the service as needed, so the ability to travel is essential.
The on-call rota is shared between three other experienced Speciality Doctors, ensuring continuity of care and mutual support. The on-all is flexibly arranged with the other doctors.
Unlike a traditional Resident Medical Officer post, this role combines autonomous daytime clinical responsibilities with resident on-call duties, providing a broad and varied clinical experience across four specialist wards. On-calls will likely be primary focus.
Working closely with experienced Consultant Psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, the successful applicant will develop increasing clinical autonomy while receiving excellent clinical support and supervision.
At Cygnet, our perks go way beyond pension schemes and excellent professional development.
You’ll also enjoy shopping, travel and leisure discounts – as well as a range of healthcare and financial benefits – to support you to be happy both in and out of work.
Apply now to enjoy excellent career prospects while reaping the rewards of making a difference to others, every day.
