First Line Compliance Analyst

At Ayvens we have an opening for a First Line Compliance Analyst.

What are you going to do?

As our new First Line Compliance Analyst, you will play a key role in protecting Ayvens Bank against compliance and financial crime risks. You will be responsible for conducting customer due diligence activities, assessing and monitoring customer risks, supporting customer onboarding and review processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. By working closely with Customer Support, Compliance, and other stakeholders, you will contribute to informed customer acceptance, retention, and exit decisions while safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the Bank.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Assess and monitor customer compliance and financial crime risks using a risk-based approach.
  • Review customer information, documentation, source of funds, and source of wealth information where required.
  • Perform customer screening, transaction monitoring, and investigate unusual or suspicious customer activity.
  • Escalate potential AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud, reputational, and other compliance risks in a timely manner.
  • Support onboarding, periodic reviews, remediation activities, and customer exit processes.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support, Compliance, and other stakeholders to support effective customer risk management and regulatory compliance.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate has the analytical mindset and risk awareness necessary to identify, assess, and manage compliance and financial crime risks. Aside from being experienced in customer due diligence and customer risk assessments, you are able to work collaboratively across teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and make well-reasoned recommendations in a regulated environment.

You will have relevant experience in a similar role, preferably holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Compliance, KYC, CDD, or Financial Crime environment.
  • Good knowledge of Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC), and customer screening processes.
  • Understanding of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions requirements, and financial crime risk management principles.
  • Experience conducting customer risk assessments, periodic reviews, and investigating AML alerts.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and provide sound risk-based recommendations.
  • Fluent in English is required.
