Job Description:
We’re looking for a Loss Prevention Investigations Manager - Internal to lead our Internal Investigations team across Western Canada and drive strategies that reduce loss, deter internal theft and fraud, and support the achievement of our broader Loss Prevention objectives. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll partner with cross-functional leaders and team members across the business, building strong relationships that influence decision-making and drive meaningful results throughout the region. What You’ll Do:
- Drive the execution of the internal investigations' strategy, ensuring alignment with Loss Prevention objectives while proactively seeing opportunities to reduce shrink, theft, and fraud.
- Develop and enhance investigation procedures, leverage analytics and important metrics to identify trends, prioritize effectively, and implement continuous improvements across the function.
- Collaborate closely with Store Operations, Human Resources, Analytics, Compliance, Technology, and Loss Prevention teams to support investigations, share insights, and drive effective business outcomes.
- Supervise emerging trends, recommend innovative solutions, lead special projects, and support the successful implementation of policy and procedural changes.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members through talent planning, performance management, and development initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and operational excellence.
About You:
- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred, combined with 5-7 years of dynamic leadership experience in retail, ideally within Loss Prevention, Investigations, Operations, or an off-price retail environment.
- Ideal candidate will reside in Western Canada or be willing to relocate to Western Canada
- Proven track record to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams while building strong partnerships with senior leaders and cross-functional collaborators. Skilled at influencing decisions, managing conflict, and acting as a trusted advisor to support business objectives.
- Strong investigative expertise with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify trends, assess risks, and develop practical, business-focused solutions. Demonstrated agility in adapting to changing priorities and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of the retail landscape, market trends, and business performance metrics, with experience leading projects, driving process improvements, and implementing pivotal initiatives from planning through execution.
- Excellent communication, interviewing, negotiation, and coaching skills, supported by strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn and use new technologies. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
