BIM Technician - Water Sector

Role description:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a BIM Technician to join our Water team to deliver designs on a wide range of projects within the water, wastewater, energy and civils infrastructure market sector.

Our Team have designed some of the World’s major water supply and wastewater schemes and continues to deliver major projects for our UK Regulated and Non-Regulated water and energy clients.

Role accountabilities:

• Delivery of allocated technical assignments, work elements and work packages and other design activities
• Undertaking technical tasks in accordance with the Company’s quality, safety and project management/engineering procedures and controls
• Provision of high quality design outputs such as 2D drawings 3D modelling and information management elements.
• Is highly capable and proficient within own area of expertise and specifically in the use of AutoCAD Civils 3D, and REVIT
• Self-checking / vetting all outputs before issue
• Maintain good relationships internally and externally

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant technical qualifications and/or training
• Practical and demonstrable experience in use of AutoCAD Civils 3D & REVIT, including use of sub-assemblies and data shortcuts
• Experience working with Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud as a common data environment.
• Ability to understand interdisciplinary interfacing, resolution of clashes and creating clash free designs.
• Have a sound knowledge of the industry, knowledge of designing and maintaining assets and have up to date on knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team focusing on projects in regulated or non-regulated water business and/or civils engineering infrastructure
• Demonstrable skills in concept and detailed design skills.
