The Opportunity

As an Audit Associate you will support audit engagements within our Assurance practice by participating in planning, testing, and documentation activities tied to financial statement review, internal controls, and accounting analysis. As an Associate you will focus on learning, contributing to client engagement work, adapting to shifting priorities, asking questions, and building a foundation in technical accounting, communication, teamwork, and quality-focused delivery. In this role at PwC, you will help prepare workpapers, examine financial records, analyze data, and support senior team members in a fast-paced environment while developing your skills and professional brand.

Responsibilities

- Performing external audit procedures on financial statements, account balances, and disclosures in line with auditing methodology and GAAS
- Reviewing and verifying financial documents, accounting records, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness
- Testing internal controls, identifying control gaps, and documenting findings for senior team review
- Applying GAAP, accounting policies, and technical accounting knowledge to basic accounting and reporting issues
- Analyzing financial data, trends, and variances to support audit planning and issue resolution
- Preparing clear audit documentation, process notes, and workpapers that support conclusions reached during fieldwork
- Using data analysis, data modeling, and digital tools to organize audit information and improve work efficiency
- Communicating status updates, questions, and potential risks to team members in a timely and professional manner

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
- Client service associate positions are entry-level roles and job seekers have completed or are in the process of completing their final academic year of educational requirements

The salary range for this position is: $53,500 - $104,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
