Job Description

As a Security Officer Transit in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, report observations, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to passengers, employees, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a public transit environment.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a high-traffic government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
