Position Summary
We are seeking a highly energetic, proactive, and people-oriented HR Generalist to support our growing operations in El Salvador. This role will be responsible for providing day-to-day Human Resources support throughout the employee lifecycle while ensuring HR practices and processes are aligned with El Salvador labor laws and local employment requirements.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a strong sense of urgency, communicates effectively with employees and leaders, and is comfortable managing multiple HR priorities simultaneously.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on Human Resources experience and a solid understanding of Salvadoran labor legislation and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees, supervisors, and managers.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, attendance, and employment-related matters.
- Support the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Ensure HR practices and employment actions comply with El Salvador labor laws and local regulations.
- Provide guidance to leadership regarding employee relations, attendance, performance, disciplinary actions, and corrective action processes.
- Manage and document employee relations cases while ensuring consistency, confidentiality, and appropriate follow-up.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation, personnel actions, employee records, and required supporting documentation.
- Support attendance management and work closely with operations leadership to identify and address attendance and attrition trends.
- Conduct employee engagement and retention conversations and help identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.
- Support investigations related to employee complaints, workplace concerns, policy violations, and other employee relations matters.
- Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries regarding company benefits and local statutory benefits.
- Coordinate with Payroll and other departments to ensure employee information and employment changes are accurate and processed on time.
- Maintain accurate employee information within the HRIS and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
- Support HR reporting and tracking of key metrics such as headcount, turnover, attendance, employee relations cases, and terminations.
- Participate in HR initiatives, employee engagement activities, communications, and special projects.
- Maintain a visible and approachable HR presence and build strong relationships with employees and leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in an HR Generalist, HR Operations, or Employee Relations role.
- Minimun 2 years experience in BPO Industries.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of El Salvador labor laws and employment regulations.
- Experience handling employee relations, disciplinary processes, attendance management, terminations, and HR documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and other HR team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems; Workday experience is a plus.
- English proficiency is highly Required.
