  • Serve as the technical escalation point for junior technicians, customers, partners, installers, and internal teams during high-priority field issues.
  • Review vehicle types, installation environments, wiring requirements, power sources, mounting locations, and connectivity conditions to determine safe and reliable installation approaches.
  • Perform and validate camera and telematics installations, including harness routing, power connections, mounting, camera positioning, calibration, connectivity checks, and system commissioning.
  • Develop practical diagnostic plans, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and document permanent or preventative solutions for recurring issues.
  • Partner with Computer Vision, Hardware, Product, Customer Success, Support, Sales, and Engineering teams to communicate field findings and coordinate resolution of technical issues.
  • Support training-data generation for new AI behaviors by renting or accessing representative vehicles, installing camera kits, staging target scenarios, conducting controlled drives, and collecting video with known ground truth.
  • Review collected footage and test results for completeness, quality, environmental coverage, and alignment with the Vision team’s requirements.
  • Create clear installation guides, diagnostic procedures, test plans, field reports, pilot-readiness checklists, and training-data documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware kits, tools, components, vehicle configurations, installation results, defects, and follow-up actions.
  • Identify trends across customer deployments and recommend improvements to hardware design, installation processes, field tooling, training materials, and product requirements.
  • Coach and support junior field technicians through hands-on guidance, knowledge sharing, field shadowing, and review of technical documentation.
  • Support the creation of repeatable operating practices for a mobile Tiger Team, including deployment readiness, travel preparation, equipment management, safety procedures, and escalation paths.
  • Follow all applicable workplace, vehicle, customer-site, data-handling, and health and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
