Job Summary
Patient Services Coordinator II — MGH Beacon Hill Primary CareBoston, MA | Full-time, 40 hours | Day shift | Onsite
Bring your organization, communication, and customer service skills to MGH Beacon Hill Primary Care. As a Patient Services Coordinator II, you’ll help create a welcoming, efficient experience for patients while supporting physicians, nurses, and clinical staff in a fast-paced practice environment.
What You’ll Do
• Welcome and assist patients through scheduling, check-in, and check-out.
• Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, and triage messages to the appropriate clinical team member.
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate registration, appointment, billing, and medical record information in EPIC.
• Process forms, scan documents, obtain medical records and test results, and distribute mail and faxes.
• Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
• Serve as an EPIC scheduling, registration, and billing resource; training is provided.
• Support colleagues with training and perform specialized scheduling functions as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with all Office Suite, Knowledge of office operations and standards, and understanding of office procedures, including filing, copying, scanning, printing, and faxing.
- Ability to use the phone system, manage more non-routine phone calls, and solve routine issues as appropriate.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents, corresponding and communicating with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mails, memos, and letters), and taking complete and accurate messages.
- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Well-organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
