In this role, you will support the operations of the Remote Support, Assistive Technology, and 2GetherTech program. You will oversee Remote Support Staff and supervisory personnel, coordinate daily operations, maintain appropriate employee-to-client ratios, review service documentation, and assist with equipment installation and removal. The Assistant Director will also partner with the Director to expand remote monitoring services, meet budget goals, strengthen service quality, and support the overall performance of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Remote Support Staff and Remote Support Staff Supervisors, providing guidance, support, and clear direction for daily operations.
- Partner with the Director to advance the strategic growth of remote monitoring and assistive technology services across the organization.
- Support department budget goals and contribute to the overall performance, quality, and efficiency of remote monitoring operations.
- Coordinate daily activities for Remote Support Staff Supervisors and promote collaboration across related teams.
- Ensure each remote support station maintains the appropriate employee-to-client ratio.
- Oversee the installation and removal of remote support and assistive technology equipment.
- Review service documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements.
- Communicate the organization’s strategic direction and encourage participation from team members at all levels.
- Monitor the identification, development, and execution of departmental strategic objectives.
- Communicate departmental and organizational changes, updates, and newsworthy events effectively.
- Address difficult team member situations directly and respectfully, using appropriate discretion and Human Resources guidance.
- Champion organizational change and support the effective implementation of new ideas.
- Reinforce a team-based approach by seeking input, encouraging participation, and engaging team members in achieving shared goals.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience as a Remote Support Staff Supervisor or related supervisory experience in the remote monitoring field.
- Basic knowledge of services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact and work effectively with others.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to mediate, compromise, and collaborate across multiple teams.
- Possess good computer skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the service provision field.
- Maintain a current driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance.
- Successfully complete required background screenings, including criminal record, driving record, abuse and neglect, and fingerprint checks.
Physical Requirements
ADA Consideration, Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, up to one-third of the time, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently, from one-third to two-thirds of the time, to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The position requires repetitive movements of the hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during the work shift.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may include walking or standing for brief periods. A position is considered sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
