About the Job
Are you quality-minded, reliable, and motivated by working in a structured production environment where accuracy and compliance are essential? Do you take pride in your work and understand the importance of following procedures, even when working under time pressure? Then you may be our new Technician in Buffer Solution Preparation at AGC Biologics.
You will join our Solution Preparation team in SYD22, a new, state-of-the-art facility currently in the ramp-up phase. Production supports preclinical, clinical, and commercial manufacturing for a wide range of international clients.
The team consists of three skilled technicians who work closely together and collaborate with key stakeholders, including QA and Manufacturing Product Support. As part of the team, you will contribute to reliable, high-quality buffer preparation while ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements and minimizing the risk of deviations.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing the buffers used in protein purification processes. The position requires a strong quality mindset, attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to maintain an overview of your tasks while ensuring that established procedures and quality standards are never compromised.
Your Work Will Include
- Planning and executing daily buffer preparation activities according to approved production records, recipes, and procedures.
- Ensuring buffers are prepared and delivered on time to support production schedules.
- Completing batch documentation accurately and promptly, ensuring that all activities are documented in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Following cGMP requirements, Manufacturing Production Records (MPRs), and approved procedures at all times.
- Working in compliance with regulatory and quality systems, including TrackWise, where relevant.
- Supporting daily production planning and coordinating activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Assisting with troubleshooting, production-related challenges, and ad hoc tasks.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contributing to their implementation.
- Working independently and reliably while maintaining close collaboration with colleagues and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance, including when working under time pressure.
About You
We imagine that you:
- Preferably hold an education as a Process Operator, Process Technologist, Industrial Operator, or a similar relevant qualification.
- Have preferably at least two years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and experience working in a cGMP-regulated environment.
- Have experience preparing buffers according to recipes and instructions defined in production records.
- Have a good understanding of GMP documentation and the importance of accurate, timely documentation.
- Have an understanding of LEAN, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Can speak, read, and understand English fluently.
- Work systematically and consistently, including when performing repetitive tasks.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
As a person, you take pride in your work and understand that quality and compliance are essential in pharmaceutical manufacturing. You remain calm and maintain an overview when priorities change or time pressure increases. You know when to act with urgency and when to stop and seek clarification rather than compromise established standards or procedures.
You are positive, flexible, and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities. You work independently when needed but also value teamwork and contribute to a professional and supportive working environment.
Working Hours
The position follows a defined shift schedule, with working hours from 08:00 to 19:04. Production operates 24/7, including weekends and public holidays, and flexibility to work during these periods is required according to the assigned shift plan.
