At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).
Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:
Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.

Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.
## About the role
This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1-2 days on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
As ATB’s next Responsible AI Oversight Manager, you will act as the front door for ATB's AI intake and assessment process, reporting to the MD, AI Strategy Alignment & Oversight. This role works with sponsors to identify legal, brand, and technology risks early for new AI use cases, tools, and agents, guiding them efficiently through review while collaborating across key internal teams.
By facilitating seamless intake workflows and tracking evolving regulatory expectations—such as OSFI guidelines and federal policy—the Manager keeps intake processes and the central registry ahead of requirements while aligning initiatives with strategic goals.

The Manager partners with Technology Risk, Compliance, and Data Governance to route and mitigate risks appropriately, without directly making compliance determinations.
## Accountabilities
- Intake Triage & Early Risk Oversight: Conduct initial risk assessments on all incoming AI proposals, tools, and agents, flagging legal, brand, security, and operational risk considerations at the front end before significant capital or technical resources are committed.
- Sponsor Facilitation & Lifecycle Guidance: Act as a trusted navigator for business unit sponsors, guiding them efficiently through ATB’s AI review process to maintain velocity while ensuring complete review coverage.
- Regulatory Monitoring & Intake Adaptation: Monitor evolving financial sector and federal AI regulations—including OSFI expectations, federal AI policy, and industry standards—translating emerging rules into continuous updates for ATB’s intake criteria, central registry, and oversight processes.
- AI Registry & Inventory Maintenance: Own the accuracy and completeness of ATB's central AI Intake Inventory, maintaining up-to-date data for intake and triage documentation.
- Cross-Functional Risk Routing & Alignment: Partner closely with AI Governance, Risk & Compliance, Privacy, Information Security, Legal, and Data Governance teams to route flagged risks to appropriate risk owners and confirm mitigation steps are completed prior to deployment without directly owning compliance determinations.
- Audit Readiness & Governance Reporting: Maintain rigorous, time-stamped intake records, approval logs, and decision documentation across tools to ensure full traceability for internal assurance and external regulatory reviews.
- Committee Management & Steering Oversight: Support and coordinate AI oversight and steering committees, structuring agendas, documenting governance decisions, and managing operational workflows to maintain cross-functional alignment across business, risk, and technology leadership.

- Process Governance & Risk Alignment: Experience maintaining enterprise registries and audit-ready documentation while collaborating seamlessly with AI Risk, Governance & Compliance functions.
