Description
Company: Citadel Roofing & Solar
Location: Sacramento, CA
Department: New Construction Solar, Project Operations
Employment Type: Full-time, exempt
Reports To: New Construction Solar, Director of Project Operations
About the Role
The Project Manager, Lease Operations oversees the day-to-day operations of Citadel's Customer Lease Finance partners and processes, manages a team of lease coordinators, and leads the planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement of finance-related products and programs, including the systems and processes that support them. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Operations, and Technology, and is responsible for turning program processes into well-scoped implementations. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with project schedules and with solar leasing concepts and can keep cross-functional teams aligned and moving.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Citadel's Customer Lease Finance partners and processes, keeping agreements, approvals, and funding statuses accurate and on time.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of lease coordinators, including workload planning, performance goals, and training, and hold the team to target timelines and SLAs.
• Develop best practices and processes for generating lease agreements and submitting milestone requirements to finance partners for payment, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
• Serve as the primary contact for finance partners, lenders, and vendors, managing deliverables, contracts, feedback, and reporting, and handling program requirement changes.
• Own the project lifecycle for Lease Finance initiatives, from intake and scoping through launch, adoption, and post-launch review, maintaining work plans, budgets, timelines, and status reports.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, Legal/Compliance, and IT to define requirements, workflows, and success metrics, and translate them into user stories for system and process changes, supporting testing and user acceptance.
• Implement program changes and process improvements, including training, communications, and rollout support for field and office teams, while meeting regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements.
• Track KPIs such as cycle times and approval rates, work through process issues as they arise, and recommend improvements.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and resource conflicts early, and drive resolution with stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of project or program management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to lead meetings, including with executives and external partners.
• 2+ years of experience managing a team, ideally in an operations environment.
Preferred
• Experience in solar, construction, home improvement, or energy industries, including solar financing structures (loans, leases, PPAs) and incentive programs.
• Familiarity with CRM and ERP platforms and with system integration projects.
• Background in process development/improvement.
