Description
Harrison County Hospital has an opening for a Patient Account Representative for our Business Office.
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:45am-5:15pm.
Education:
- High school diploma required.
- Experience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Processing new bills on a daily basis
- Following up on previously billed accounts by correctly resolving reminder
- Works Collector ques and biller ques on a daily basis
- Displays knowledge of Meditech system, SSI and Chartmax
- Answers patient questions regarding accounts
- Receives and answers correspondence concerning refunds and processing
- Thoroughly document accounts in system when account is referenced for any reason
- Ability to communicate with understanding and politeness with patients
- Follows HIPAA rules and adheres to hospital corporate compliance regulations
