Indirect Tax Technology Subject Matter Expert (SAP S/4HANA & Vertex)

The Role & What You Will Be Doing 

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference, and here’s how the Indirect Tax Technology Subject Matter Expert (SAP S/4HANA & Vertex) role will make an impact:  

 

 

• Act as the tax technology SME in global SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Gather and translate business and tax requirements into system solutions.
• Support the implementation and optimization of Vertex tax engine capabilities.
• Participate in SIT, UAT, regression testing, deployment activities and hypercare support.
• Review solution designs and functional specifications from a tax perspective.
• Partner with Tax, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and Project Management teams across multiple regions.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the indirect tax landscape.

 

About Your Skills & Experience 

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experiences: 

 

• 3-5 years of experience in Indirect Tax (VAT, GST, Sales Tax).
• Hands-on SAP experience, ideally within S/4HANA environments.
• Understanding of tax determination logic, tax code configuration and transaction flows.
• Exposure to Vertex, OneSource, Avalara or other tax engine solutions is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or transformation programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
