Hiring Priority: Active Hiring

We are looking for a Home-Based Production Scheduler to join a growing U.S.-based food manufacturing company that produces high-quality, clean-label bakery and pastry ingredients for industrial bakeries, in-store bakeries, and cruise lines. In this role, you will build and maintain the Master Production Schedule, create and schedule production orders, monitor inventory and customer demand, and coordinate with operations, warehouse, customer service, sales, and quality teams to keep production flowing efficiently and customer orders delivered on time.

REQUIRED CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Organizational & Time Management – Effectively manages multiple production priorities, stock orders, and schedule changes while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail – Maintains a high level of accuracy in production orders, inventory data, and the shared production schedule.
  • Communication Skills – Communicates schedule updates and changes clearly and professionally with internal teams across departments.
  • Problem Solving & Analysis – Analyzes inventory, demand, and capacity data to prevent stockouts and resolve scheduling conflicts efficiently.
  • Production Planning Knowledge – Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Run and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) using Business Central and internal planning tools, ensuring that production requirements are properly identified and scheduled.
  • Regularly review and reassess production requirements that are not scheduled immediately, particularly stock replenishment production where current inventory levels remain sufficient. Continuously monitor these requirements and progressively schedule them over the upcoming weeks based on inventory levels, demand, customer orders, production capacity, and changing priorities.
  • Use the Power BI MPS Dashboard to monitor inventory levels, production needs, open customer orders, and potential stock shortages across finished products.
  • Determine production requirements based on current inventory, customer demand, existing production orders, and stock replenishment needs.
  • Create and manage production orders in Business Central, identifying whether production is required to fulfill specific customer orders or to replenish inventory.
  • Establish appropriate production dates to ensure customer orders are covered on time while maintaining sufficient inventory levels.
  • Proactively manage the risk of stockouts, particularly for high-volume and best-selling products, by evaluating current inventory, upcoming demand, and production capacity.
  • Prioritize production based on business needs and determine which products can be delayed or rescheduled without creating future inventory shortages or negatively impacting customer orders.
  • Schedule production orders in Business Central according to the appropriate production date, machine, and shift, while considering manufacturing capacity and operational constraints.
  • Transfer and maintain the production schedule in the shared Excel production schedule used across the company, ensuring that production information remains accurate and visible to the appropriate departments.
  • Continuously adjust the production schedule based on last-minute customer requests, changes in priorities, inventory issues, production constraints, or operational needs.
  • Evaluate whether existing production orders can be moved, accelerated, or postponed, to accommodating urgent customer requests while minimizing the impact on other orders and future inventory availability.
  • Coordinate production priorities with relevant departments to maintain a balance between customer service requirements, inventory availability, production capacity, and stock replenishment needs.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma required; additional education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, purchasing, or a similar manufacturing role preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Working schedule: Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within US operating hours.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (order management, inventory review, work order processing, and production planning) or a similar ERP platform.
    • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience using Power BI to analyze data, build reports, and support operational decision-making.
    • Experience with AI automation tools or process automation techniques is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, inventory control, quality standards, and cost management within a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong organizational, multitasking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
