Senior Test Engineer

Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking a Senior Test Engineer for a consultancy mission at a client site. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that developed software operates as expected, both technically and functionally. You will support the software design and delivery team with your expertise, focusing on functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners, and user support for acceptance testing. This position emphasizes continuous improvement in testing processes and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the test strategy.
• Review business requests and analysis documents.
• Create and execute test cases, scenarios, and plans.
• Follow up on defects and issues and write test reports.
• Automate test cases using various tools based on technologies and needs.
• Support involved teams and assist in estimating test effort and planning for projects.
• Improve processes and test deliverables.

Technical Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in software testing (manual and automated).
• Experience with manual testing, API testing, and building test strategies.
• Strong knowledge of testing processes and methodologies (ISTQB certification is an asset).
• Experience in testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, proxy services, and open standards such as XML, XSD, WSDL.
• Solid experience in analyzing and modeling complex processes and workflows.
• Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Xray, ReadyAPI, and Playwright.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience with Groovy Script or equivalent.
• Familiarity with public administration systems is a plus.

Soft Skills Required:

• Fluent in Dutch/English or French/English, with basic knowledge of the other language.
• A real team player, comfortable sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
• Attentive to details, with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Result-driven, maintaining quality without compromising speed.

Work Environment:

This position is based in Brussels, with a hybrid working model of 40% in the office and 60% remote work.
