Job Summary:

The Rural Health Field Manager is responsible for Sharecare’s on-the-ground presence in an assigned territory within the 126 rural and partially rural counties eligible for Georgia’s Rural Enhancement and Transformation of Health (GREAT Health) Program. This role turns the program’s hospital and community partnership plans into local action, making sure every county in the territory has active partners, a working event calendar, and a clear path for residents to register for AskMD and complete wellness activity.

Reporting to the Director of Rural Health Partnerships, the Manager supervises and assigns Community Activation Coordinators to plan and execute local events, and works closely with the Director, Field Activation on event standards and staffing, and with the Director of Rural Health Activation on local campaigns and materials.

Essential Job Functions:

• Own the activation plan for an assigned territory of rural and partially rural counties, setting county-by-county priorities based on Community Well-Being Index data, partner readiness, and hospital catchment areas.

• Supervise, schedule, and assign three Community Activation Coordinators to local events across the territory, scaling coordinator support up or down as event volume and seasonal needs require.

• Plan and execute local events in the territory, including hospital-hosted events, faith wellness events, clinic, pharmacy, and health department activations, county fairs, festivals, and Cooperative Extension events.

• Ensure every event meets the program’s written activation standard: scheduled, staffed, sign-up capable, and logged by date, venue, partner, reach, and registrations.

• Serve as the day-to-day local contact for hospital coordinators and community partners in the territory, and support the Director of Rural Health Partnerships in recruiting, onboarding, and sustaining those partners.

• Support trusted-messenger training and follow-up so that local partners can introduce AskMD in their own voice between events.

• Coordinate the territory event calendar with hospital launches, local festivals, seasonal health windows, and open enrollment, working with the Director, Field Activation on staffing and equipment.

• Manage AskMD tablets, activation kits, signage, and resident materials assigned to the territory, including inventory and replenishment.

• Track registrations, reach, and cost per registration by county, partner, and event type, and adjust plans toward the formats and venues that perform.

• Submit accurate, timely field data for monthly DCH reporting to the Manager, Program Performance & Reporting.

• Manage the territory’s event spend and coordinator hours against plan, and flag variances early.

• Capture local feedback, trust barriers, and service gaps, and share them with the Director of Rural Health Partnerships.

• Follow program practices for event safety, privacy, consent, and accessibility, including plain-language and Spanish-language materials where needed.

Specific Skills/ Attributes:

• Proven ability to plan and run high-volume community events across multiple sites.

• Ability to recruit, schedule, coach, and hold accountable a distributed team of coordinators.

• Credibility and comfort working with rural hospital staff and faith, civic, agricultural, and small-business leaders.

• Strong organization, logistics, and time management across a large geography.

• Data-informed approach to tracking event results and adjusting plans.

• Cultural competence and comfort working across rural, racially diverse, and Spanish-speaking communities.

• Clear written and verbal communication with partners, residents, and internal leaders.

• Problem-solving under changing conditions and tight timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in community outreach, field marketing, public health, community health worker programs, or event operations, including 2+ years supervising staff or volunteers.

• Experience working in rural communities required; rural Georgia or Southeast experience strongly preferred.

• Experience with health outreach, enrollment, or digital health adoption preferred.

• Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and community-based health resources preferred.

• Spanish-language proficiency preferred.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including evenings and weekends.
