Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Spring & Summer 2027 Business Development & Growth Co-op to support our State and Local Growth team as we expand our footprint across California.

As a Business Development & Growth Co-op, you’ll help the team identify and pursue new opportunities across state and local government. You’ll support competitive analysis and market research, help prepare materials for pre-RFP engagements, contribute to white papers and thought leadership content, and assist with planning and attendance at State and Local industry conferences. You’ll turn research and findings into presentations and briefings that inform how Peraton positions itself for growth across the state.

Peraton is a next-generation national security company and a trusted technology partner to government agencies across the country, including state and local governments like the County of San Diego. As a co-op on the Growth team, you’ll work alongside Peraton professionals shaping how we expand into new markets and pursue new business, gaining exposure to strategy, competitive intelligence, and proposal development in the government contracting space.

 

Co-op structure: 40 hours/week throughout the duration of the co-op, with a hybrid work arrangement based in San Diego, CA. Some travel to State and Local conferences within California as needed. #PeratonIntern

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• HS Diploma and some advanced level training
• You are a current undergrad or graduate student and have completed progress or are pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field
• Experience with research, writing, or analysis projects for a class, club, or organization
• Strong writing skills and proficiency with PowerPoint or Google Slides

 

Desired Qualifications

• Coursework or project experience in market research, competitive analysis, or industry benchmarking
• Interest in government contracting, public-sector business development, or state and local government
• Experience contributing to proposals, white papers, or similar written deliverables
• Event planning or conference coordination experience

Target Salary Range

The rate / range per hour below represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

$22/hour+
