Wieland is hiring a Utility Operator. The Utility Operator will be responsible for supporting manufacturing, shipping, and receiving operations by transporting materials, loading and unloading raw materials and finished products, operating saws and other equipment to cut raw stock, and completing required shipping and receiving documentation. This role is located in Coldwater, Ohio and will be fully on-site. 

 

Starting Pay: $22.81

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00PM-3:00AM (training Monday-Thurs 7:00AM-5:00PM

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Utility Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport raw materials, machining turnings, work-in-process materials, and finished products.

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring proper handling and placement.

• Operate saws and other designated equipment to cut raw stock according to established specifications.
• Support machining operations by ensuring materials and supplies are delivered to the appropriate locations.
• Maintain organized material storage areas and assist with keeping work areas clean and orderly.
• Follow established safety procedures, operating instructions, and material-handling requirements.
• Inspect equipment before use and promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or material discrepancies.
• Perform other general manufacturing and material-handling duties as assigned.

Utility Operator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous forklift or lift truck operating experience preferred.

• Experience operating saws or similar industrial equipment is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete electronic documentation.

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
