Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Clearance Required in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting incidents, patrol observations, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
