Senior Java Developer

The Credit Risk Technology Team is responsible for delivering Risk Management software solutions to Citi’s Risk organization. Our systems guarantee the safety of financial operations for our clients and soundness for global economy. The statistical calculation engines and data processing frameworks we develop allows us to create real value by strong and complex technical solutions using Java 21, Spring, Oracle and Linux.

Our local team working in Budapest at part of our global team: business analysts and developers are collaborating to achieve best results, and now we are looking for a Senior Java developer to join our team and grow with us.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to recommend and implement solutions, defining necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and interpreting code.
• Applying fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
• Consulting with users, clients and other technology groups and recommend programming solutions.
• Analyzing applications to identify vulnerabilities, conducting testing and debugging.

Qualifications:

• Fluent English knowledge.
• University/college degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java Programming
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to technical functionality
• Good Java 21, Spring, Oracle and Linux knowledge

Advantages:

• Experience working in a Capital Markets firm (Investment Bank/Investment Management) with basic understanding of Derivatives and Risk management.
• Familiarity with Agile software development processes, Container tech. stack or Parallel data processing
• Demonstrated capacity to build tooling for development team use.
