- Conduct process walkthroughs with process owners and contribute to risk assessments, with guidance from senior team members.
- Test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls in assigned audit areas and prepare clear, evidence-based working papers for review.
- Use audit management and SOX tools to maintain accurate testing records, supporting documentation and issue updates.
- Support assurance reviews of strategic programmes and transformation initiatives by completing assigned testing of governance, risk management and key controls.
- Draft clear audit findings and contribute to root-cause analysis and practical recommendations, supporting senior colleagues in agreeing management action plans.
- Identify and promptly communicate risk and control issues to the audit lead, supported by relevant evidence.
- Follow up agreed management actions, perform assigned remediation testing and document results for senior review, highlighting overdue or incomplete actions.
- Manage assigned tasks effectively, meet agreed deadlines and keep the audit lead informed of progress and any challenges.
- Provide accurate audit results and action-tracking information to support management updates and Audit Committee reporting.
- Use data analytics to identify risk indicators, support audit testing and develop evidence-based insights.
- Gather information and share observations from audit work to support risk assessments and annual audit planning.
- Build constructive working relationships with process owners and colleagues while maintaining objectivity and professional scepticism.
- Actively seek feedback, apply coaching and share learning with colleagues to develop audit skills and contribute to team improvement.
The Profile:
- Qualified or working towards ACA, ACCA, CIA or an equivalent relevant professional qualification.
- Strong IT skills; experience using data analytics to support audit work is desirable.
- At least two years’ relevant internal or external audit experience, including practical experience of audit testing and documentation. Experience in a multinational or listed-company environment is desirable.
- Good written communication skills, excellent attention to detail and effective time management.
- A sound understanding of audit principles, risk management and internal controls; familiarity with SOX testing is desirable.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, work collaboratively as part of a global team and seek guidance when needed.
- Commercial mind-set and value-add focus.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate evidence, identify control weaknesses and contribute to practical solutions.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions, discuss audit observations and engage constructively with stakeholders.
