Falcon’s projects involve the design and manufacture of commercial and industrialized modular buildings, including structures manufactured from modified shipping containers. This position works closely with project leadership and technical subject-matter experts, with an emphasis on coordination, communication, documentation, and follow-through.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Project Coordination and Communication

  • Coordinate activities and communication among internal and external stakeholders across design, engineering, permitting, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery.
  • Track open items, decisions, dependencies, and action items; follow up with responsible parties to maintain project progress.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and ensure current information is available to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Identify schedule risks, missing information, and unresolved issues and escalate them to project leadership as appropriate.
  • Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Permitting and Plan Review Coordination

  • Prepare and coordinate project submissions to Design Review Agencies (DRAs), state modular programs, and other applicable reviewing authorities.
  • Track submissions through review and approval, including plan-review comments, responses, revisions, and approvals.
  • Receive, organize, and distribute plan-review comments and coordinate responses with the appropriate project resources.
  • Maintain records of submissions, approvals, correspondence, and required revisions; proactively follow up on outstanding items.

Third Party Engineering Coordination

  • Submit approved shop drawings and supporting documentation to third-party engineering firms for required structural and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering review and certification.
  • Coordinate questions, revisions, and documentation between project resources and third-party engineers.
  • Track engineering deliverables required professional seals or stamps, and associated engineering fees.

State Modular Program Compliance

  • Coordinate requirements associated with applicable state modular and industrialized building programs.
  • Maintain and update Falcon’s State Compliance Reference Sheet, including submission, inspection, labeling, and administrative requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required monthly state modular manufacturing reports.
  • Manage and track applicable state fees, submission fees, inspection fees, and related administrative costs.
  • Maintain documentation supporting compliance with state modular manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate requests for required state labels, insignias, or certification marks and track their placement on completed units.

Project Scheduling and Milestone Tracking

  • Maintain and update project schedules based on current project information.
  • Track design completion, approvals, engineering, permitting, manufacturing readiness, inspections, and delivery milestones.
  • Communicate schedule changes, upcoming milestones, and deadlines to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Follow up on activities and approvals approaching or exceeding required completion dates; communicate schedule impacts and dependencies to project leadership.

Inspection Coordination

  • Coordinate required third-party and state modular manufacturing inspections.
  • Work with manufacturing resources and inspectors to schedule inspections at appropriate production stages.
  • Track inspection results and coordinate resolution of inspection-related documentation and corrective items.
  • Maintain inspection records and supporting compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate the placement and documentation of required state labels and insignias following applicable inspections and approvals.

Requirements

Experience

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, construction, manufacturing, permitting, engineering coordination, or a related field.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and resources simultaneously.
  • Consistent follow-up and the ability to move open items toward resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail in documentation, schedules, regulatory submissions, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a deadline-driven construction and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and navigate construction drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and plan-review comments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial construction or manufacturing project coordination; modular, industrialized, or off-site construction.
  • State modular building or manufacturing programs, construction plan review, permitting, inspection scheduling, and regulatory documentation.
  • Coordination with architects and engineering disciplines.
  • Project scheduling, milestone management, and project-management software.
