About this Role

R.R. Cassidy, a Quanta Services company, is a growing heavy construction company seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Accounting Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide backup support for accounts receivable and work closely with the Controller on financial reporting, data review, month-end accounting activities, and special projects.

 

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and adaptable, with strong accounting experience and advanced Excel skills. You should enjoy working with details, investigating discrepancies, and handling a variety of responsibilities within a small, collaborative team.

What You'll Do

• Provide backup accounts receivable support, including invoicing, payment applications, customer documentation, lien waivers, reconciliations, and account research.
• Assist the Controller with preparing financial reports, reviewing data, summarizing findings, and completing special projects.
• Identify discrepancies, research account activity, and help resolve accounting issues.
• Support month-end accounting activities and maintain accurate, organized records.
• Assist with customer and vendor setup, insurance certificates, compliance portals, licenses, permits, and regulatory filings as needed.
• Balance recurring responsibilities with changing priorities and time-sensitive assignments.
• Provide general office support and serve as the first point of contact for occasional office visitors.

What You'll Bring

• Several years of hands-on accounts receivable or construction accounting experience
• Experience with invoicing, payment applications, lien waivers, reconciliations, and account research
• Ability to prepare and run reports, review financial data, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A professional, dependable, and flexible approach to both detailed accounting work and routine office responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum
• Experience with customer or vendor setup, insurance certificates, compliance portals, licenses, permits, or regulatory filings
