Job Purpose: The AIT is responsible for assisting the golf course superintendent and assistants with the maintenance, operation and management of the golf course on a daily basis.
Duties:
- Assist in the supervision and training of the golf course maintenance staff in various required tasks on a daily basis.
- The proper mixing, disposal, and application of fertilizers and pesticides based on Superintendent’s agronomic program.
- Assist in the storage and record keeping of pesticides, fertilizers, and soil amendments.
- Successfully managing and completing projects that are assigned by the Superintendent and Assistants.
- Assist Superintendent and Assistants with any golf course related duties at any time.
- Assist in daily course setup and conditioning.
Requirements
- Previous Internship experience required.
- Two- or Four-year turf related degree
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
