We are looking for an HSE Supervisor for the Oosterweel project at SOETAERT. Soetaert carries out all possible foundation techniques, both for buildings and infrastructure works. At Soetaert, we focus on innovative foundation, shoring, and soil improvement techniques, which means that a tailor-made solution for the project is considered for every location and every type of subsoil.

What you’ll do

As an HSE Supervisor you are responsible for:

• Regularly carrying out safety inspections and coordinating safety measures on site.
• Providing advice on safety matters.
• Proactively identifying, analyzing, and evaluating HSE risks.
• Checking work permits and ensuring that all activities are carried out according to safety standards.
• Preparing and delivering toolbox meetings.

What do you need:

• You have obtained a bachelor's degree in safety or a related field. Experience as a safety coordinator or prevention advisor is a plus.

• You have strong communication and social skills. You are able and confident to speak with everyone in an appropriate manner.

• You enjoy working in a team but are also capable of working independently.

• You like variety. No day is the same as an HSE Supervisor. Your schedule can change at short notice and you often do not know how or where your day will start or end.

• You are confident and assertive. When you see an unsafe situation, you dare to address it and investigate the matter thoroughly.

• You are flexible and able to adapt to changing conditions on construction sites.
