Description
The Mechanical Engineer will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment and machinery. This person will also drive a systematic problem solving, process improvement and value enhancement approach utilizing Lean Manufacturing and engineering principles. Mechanical engineers contribute to the entire cycle of production of various machines—from research, design, and development to testing and installation. They create innovative products through the application of complex engineering techniques and analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs products such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robots.
- Works with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans.
- Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.
- Produces specifications for products and chooses raw materials and components to be used in production.
- Builds models and prototypes of the product and tests the design.
- Studies the test data and makes comparisons with similar designs.
- Develops control systems and monitors production.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Five years of related experience preferred.
