Essential Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain company systems, procedures, and project controls throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of station construction activities, including structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and finishing scopes.
- Review and coordinate technical documentation, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, design revisions, and field change requests.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Coordinate interfaces between multiple disciplines and subcontractors to support seamless project execution and minimize construction conflicts.
- Assist in the development of work packages, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans to support project milestones.
- Conduct field inspections and site walks to verify work completion and identify deficiencies, safety concerns, or constructability issues.
- Support the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) program through inspections, safety observations, hazard assessments, and participation in safety meetings.
- Assist with subcontractor management, including procurement support, technical evaluations, progress tracking, contract administration, and invoice reviews.
- Monitor project schedules and provide progress updates, quantity tracking, and status reporting to project leadership.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and specialty finishes to support construction activities.
- Support quality assurance and quality control initiatives, including inspections, testing, deficiency management, and turnover documentation.
- Assist with commissioning and occupancy readiness activities for mechanical, electrical, life safety, and building systems.
- Manage project records, as-built documentation, field reports, and document control requirements.
- Support change management, contract modifications, claims documentation, and project cost control activities.
- Assist with project closeout, deficiency resolution, commissioning documentation, and turnover to the owner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of experience on transit, rail, commercial building, institutional, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience supporting station, building, or facility construction projects involving structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and finishes scopes.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience reviewing and coordinating RFIs, submittals, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, life safety, elevators/escalators, or architectural finish systems is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and construction standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM platforms, or project management software is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license is considered an asset.
- Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and shift work when required to support project schedules.
Work Conditions:
- Site-based position located in Whitby, Ontario.
- Primarily field-oriented with regular exposure to active construction environments and varying weather conditions.

Compensation
$90,900.00 - $121,200.00This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
