We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who combines a passion for dance culture with a sharp understanding of social platforms, creator content, and audience behavior. Is this you? WHO ARE WE?
Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events in the world. Enhanced by state-of-the-art lighting, pyrotechnics and sound design, large-scale art installations, theatrical performers and next generation special effects, our events captivate the senses and inspire a unique level of fan interaction. The quality of the Headliner experience is our top priority.
Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Since its inception, Insomniac's events have taken place in 13 countries across five continents. The company's premiere annual event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world’s largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525,000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.
THE ROLE
Insomniac Events is looking for a Social Media Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of social content for brands and festivals across multiple LGBTQ+ brands and festivals. This manager will guide team members, shape platform-specific storytelling, and oversee content from concept through reporting. The role also owns broader short-form video and user-generated content initiatives, including creator sourcing, campaign coordination, on-site capture, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate is a strong leader and creative writer who thrives in high-energy, collaborative environments. This is not a remote position and required to be in office and on site at various event locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute social strategy in partnership with the Director and marketing leads to create and organize compelling content across multiple brands, platforms, campaigns, and festivals simultaneously
Manage a small team and set goals, priorities, workflows, and performance expectations
Provide recommendations and reporting insights to leadership to support ongoing social media strategy and operations
Own platform-specific content planning across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, X, Snapchat, and emerging channels, with a strong focus on short-form video
Stay ahead of platform trends, audience behaviors, cultural moments, and social best practices; translate insights into timely, brand-appropriate creative opportunities
Create, film, edit, and publish engaging short-form content using mobile tools, CapCut, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other content creation applications
Develop TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts strategies that adapt ideas intelligently across platforms rather than relying on one-size-fits-all cross-posting
Pitch and organize content shoots; develop briefs, shot lists, production needs, and creative direction in collaboration with media, production, performers, marketing, records, and other partners
Lead assigned event coverage and content capture at assigned events and festivals, capturing and publishing real-time content
Write fresh, platform-native copy, captions, and on-screen text that remain aligned with each brand's distinct voice and guidelines
Build and maintain detailed social calendars, campaign proposals, asset trackers, approval workflows, and publishing schedules
Schedule and execute posts after approval; coordinate asset distribution and social support for internal departments, including merchandise, nightlife, records, ticketing, and partnerships
Source and evaluate UGC creators whose voice, audience, and aesthetic align with campaign goals and brand standards
Manage creator outreach, onboarding, briefs, content guidelines, communication, deliverables, and day-to-day support across the campaign lifecycle
Maintain an organized creator database and partner with legal and finance stakeholders on contracts, usage rights, payments, budgets, and campaign status tracking
Coordinate UGC across organic social and paid media channels, including collaboration with teams using Spark Ads, TikTok Ads Manager, and Meta Ads Manager
Support on-site creator coordination and content capture during festivals and events, ensuring deliverables and brand standards are met
Track weekly social, short-form, and UGC performance; create reports and actionable recaps for on-sales, events, campaigns, and major announcements
Partner with customer experience teams to monitor audience feedback, surface recurring themes, and support timely responses to social inquiries
Support recruiting, hiring, training, and onboarding of team members, creators, vendors, clients, and partners as needed
Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the social and marketing teams
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Three(3) or more years of social media marketing experience, including ownership of multi-platform strategies and campaigns
Demonstrated people-management experience, including developing team members, setting priorities, and improving workflows
Deep knowledge of TikTok and strong working knowledge of Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Snapchat, live-streaming tools, and emerging social platforms
Proven ability to film high-quality mobile content and edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Experience with creator, influencer, or UGC programs, including sourcing, outreach, briefing, campaign coordination, and performance tracking
Working knowledge of paid-social amplification and creator ad formats, including Spark Ads, TikTok Ads Manager, and Meta Ads Manager
Proficiency with social publishing, listening, and reporting tools such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or comparable platforms
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, GIF creation, and other content production tools
Excellent copywriting, grammar, creative judgment, asset selection, organization, and attention to detail
Strong understanding of electronic music, festival culture, live entertainment, and relevant venues and nightlife communities
Experience working on-site at concerts, festivals, or other large-scale live events
Ability to manage multiple brands and fast-moving priorities while collaborating effectively across creative, marketing, production, legal, finance, and customer experience teams
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels, busy environments, and varying temperatures while working on-site
Must be willing and able to travel and work holiday, evening, and weekend hours as required by events and deadlines
Must be able to work in an open-concept office environment
Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa
