PROJECT MANAGER – RESTORATION & MITIGATION
Location: Springfield, OR
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Restoration & Mitigation to oversee restoration and construction projects from initial planning through successful completion. The Project Manager will serve as an industry resource for large, complex, and high-risk/high-profile projects while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to established quality standards.
This position may also support regional and national catastrophe (CAT) response efforts following hurricanes, severe weather events, and other large-scale property damage events. Project Managers may also have the opportunity to advance into estimating responsibilities.
Responsibilities

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all company service lines.

Manage restoration, mitigation, and/or construction projects from initial scope through completion.

Develop project scopes, coordinate schedules, manage resources, and ensure projects remain on time and within budget.

Provide professional communication with customers, subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal teams.

Maintain strong project management practices, including time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, quality control, safety, documentation, and change-order management.

Continually advance knowledge of current and historical restoration and construction practices.

Review daily project requirements, document progress, and communicate project challenges, delays, or changes to management.

Provide appropriate field documentation, including photo logs, graphs, sketches, and other documentation required for TPA projects.

Manage fixed-bid and time-and-material projects.

Qualify vendors and subcontractors and guide them through the vendor qualification process.

Maintain a thorough understanding of invoicing requirements for various project types and provide all necessary supporting documentation.

Maintain strong attention to detail throughout all phases of each project.

Safeguard customers' homes, businesses, contents, and property throughout the restoration process.

Deliver a high level of customer service and maintain professional communication throughout each project.

Work effectively under time constraints and meet established project timelines.

Accurately and promptly report labor hours, equipment usage, and consumable materials.

Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain assigned vehicles in clean, serviceable condition.

Participate in company-sponsored operations and safety training as required.

Work nights and weekends as needed and travel periodically based on project and CAT response requirements.
Requirements

Support other Project Managers and Senior Project Managers and participate in CAT duty when needed.

Continually advance technical knowledge of restoration and mitigation services, construction practices, building codes, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Serve as a professional role model and resource for Superintendents, crew leaders, technicians, and other field personnel.

Identify opportunities for additional services on assigned projects when appropriate.

Communicate regularly with Estimators regarding project status, timeline adjustments, scope changes, and potential issues.

Demonstrate the ability to complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining documented customer satisfaction.

Plan, coordinate, and oversee employees, temporary labor, vendors, and subcontractors through all phases of work.

Read and manage construction plans and blueprints.

Demonstrate the ability to manage projects exceeding $1 million in value.

Understand and comply with applicable building codes and regulatory requirements.

Direct restoration and mitigation crews in the field.

Manage large crews and projects through crew leaders, Superintendents, and other assistants.

Manage and document time-and-material projects and collaborate with Estimators and other Project Managers in developing restoration plans.

Supervise multiple crews and projects simultaneously.

Attend approved training courses in areas requiring additional development.

Maintain and continually improve core project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, documentation, communication, safety, and quality control.
Compensation and Benefits

Annual Pay Range: $80,000, with opportunities for additional compensation.
