Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principal Maintenance Computer Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL and will be based within our office spaces to support the program and business needs. Operating on our 9/80 schedule means you will get every other Friday off. This position has NO Hybrid or Remote work available.

The Ground Systems Maintenance Computer Analyst drives technical execution for the Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Strike Program by designing, coordinating, and overseeing on-premises compute, storage, network, and software structures to ensure peripheral devices, virtual machines (VMs), and infrastructure environments work together seamlessly. Interfacing across multiple Product Owners within a matrixed, geographically dispersed Integrated Product Team (IPT), this role represents customer interests to dictate backlog priorities, enforce cybersecurity protocols, and monitor databases to restore data integrity. Acting as an Agile leader, the analyst drives quarterly release planning and core Scrum ceremonies to maximize productivity, clears administrative or technical roadblocks, and authors comprehensive installation guides and hardware Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) to successfully develop, implement, and sustain optimized ground systems operations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Install, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices and Virtual

Machines (VMs) supported by your Integrated Product Team (IPT).

  • Monitor and fix local database issues, VMs troubleshoot connectivity, and restore data integrity.
  • Create and manage user accounts, enforce security policies, and ensure

peripherals and databases comply with Cyber protocols.

  • Ensure new systems and applications integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure and can scale to meet future organizational demands.
  • Develop and document comprehensive guides to support installation,

configuration, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Develop and document hardware Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and ensure Installation and Checkout procedures are documented and completed.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Clear both administrative and technical roadblocks to keep the engineering team associated with your IPT moving forward.
  • Train your IPT on Scrum values, Agile principles, and self-organization to maximize productivity.
  • Ensure new systems and applications integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure and can scale to meet future organizational demands.
  • Demonstrate ability to formally present technical solutions to senior leadership.
  • Prioritize and identify customer needs in meeting strategic goals for your IPT.
  • Manage customer expectations through continuous engagement with the customer and stakeholders to understand evolving requirements.
  • Monitor progress during sprints (Agile), while adapting to feedback and changing priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 1 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Security + (or higher-level credentials) under DoDM 8140.03
  • Experience with Cloud-based technologies and architectures experience.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies experience.
  • Working knowledge or experience in two or more technical areas:
  • Ground systems/segments.
  • Cross domain solutions.
  • Mission planning systems.
  • Maintenance operations.
  • Communications systems.
  • Electronics or Network Communications Engineering.
  • Software development models.
  • Hardware and software systems.
  • Cloud services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within project teams,

including team / customer interaction and presentations.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Working knowledge of current DoD Networks and related systems.
  • Experienced in the use of Confluence & Jira.
  • Military experience or working in a military environment.
  • Operational use and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in two or more relevant areas:
  • Computer network systems.
  • Software coding and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Azure Cloud Services.
  • Kubernetes.
  • Containerization and Microservices Architecture.
  • Edge Computing.
  • Aircraft Cloud-Enabled Ground Systems.
  • Cloud Service Providers.
  • Scrum process.
  • JMPS & FMTSE.
  • FAT, SoS, FoS Testing.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
