Do you want to learn about DGIG’s best-in-class rate-making process for Ontario Auto? Do you want to put your knowledge of modelling to work? Are you eager to innovate and improve profitability for a multi-billion dollar book? The Ontario Auto Personal Lines Ratemaking team is looking for a candidate to join them as a senior actuarial advisor, you may be just the person we’re looking for! More specifically, you will be required to:
Create segmentations using various modelling software
Adjust models for relevant business strategies or market behaviours
Conduct overall rate level analyses
Identify areas of improvements and find innovative solutions to make it more sophisticated and efficient
File and secure approval of rate and algorithm changes
Deploy rate changes
Support project planning, development, execution and coordination
Coach less experienced actuarial professionals
Review peers' work
Collaborate with other departments including underwriting, corporate actuarial, IT, and other business partners and stakeholders
Perform monitoring activities with a view to assess the quality of our insurance portfolio and follow the rates, market share and insurance results of our competitors.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Extensive prior experience in Auto Ratemaking
Progress in CAS/CIA exams
Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
