What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a medical examiner office environment.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help support controlled access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, and report unusual conditions or hazards.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and observation reports in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
