Join us as a Funds Financing, NAV Financing Analyst

• We’ll look to you to support the structuring and execution of Funds Financing transactions, primarily focussed on NAV financing solutions for private equity and other private markets funds, while also gaining experience across our Investor-backed and GP financing products
• You’ll be working with customers, Trading & Portfolio Management, Compliance & Conduct, Legal and other NatWest Markets functions
• You’ll be supporting senior colleagues in our market-leading team in developing new structures, products, and business opportunities in line with NatWest Markets risk appetite

 

What you'll do

As a Funds Financing Analyst, you’ll be supporting the origination, analysis, structuring and execution of complex Funds Financing transactions; analysing risks inherent in products and structures as well as quantitative portfolio risks, return on capital optimisation and stress testing.

 

You’ll also be:

 

• Supporting transaction execution from origination through approval, legal documentation, closing and portfolio management, while helping to drive improvements in operational efficiency and business processes
• Keeping the structuring pipeline up to date for the team and other stakeholders across the Private Financing business
• Establishing and maintaining credible and trusted partnerships with key internal stakeholders such as Trading, Sales, Portfolio Management, Legal and Credit risk teams to support the business and our customers
• Connecting with colleagues across the C&I franchise to share experience, best practice and innovative ideas to support the broader Funds Financing agenda in C&I

 

The skills you'll need

 To succeed in this role, you’ll need the ability to develop skills to collaborate effectively across the business at all levels, paired with a keen interest in structured lending products, private markets and regulation. Ideally (but not a hard requirement), you’ll also have prior experience in Funds Financing, Structured Financing, Leverage Finance or other similar products.

 

In addition, you’ll bring:

 

• A pro-active approach to working, along with exceptional written and verbal communication and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business and deliver effective communication to customers
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills including financial modelling capabilities, intermediate-advanced Excel skills and preferably basic knowledge of VBA
• An interest in leveraging AI, automation and technology to improve analysis, workflow efficiency and decision-making
• Experience working in a financial institution, with interest in private equity and private markets
