Job Description

Position Summary

The Agile Transformation Leader will be accountable for driving measurable business outcomes through Agile transformation, scaled execution, and continuous improvement across CCFT. This role will ensure that CCFT staff, product teams, Agile Release Trains, and leaders effectively leverage SAFe practices, Agile governance, product delivery disciplines, and performance metrics to improve speed, quality, predictability, customer value, and strategic alignment.

This role will serve as a senior transformation leader, coach, people leader, and change agent focused on translating Agile ways of working into tangible business impact. The Agile Transformation Leader will partner closely with CCFT leadership, Agile Enablement, product teams, and global stakeholders to improve delivery effectiveness, strengthen execution accountability, and build a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous value delivery.

AIN Scrum Masters within CCFT will report directly to this role, and SM across geographies will have a dotted line of reporting.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Business Outcome-Driven Agile Transformation

  • Lead Agile transformation across CCFT with a clear focus on improving business outcomes, delivery predictability, product value, stakeholder satisfaction, operational efficiency, and time-to-market.

  • Assess Agile maturity across teams and Agile Release Trains to identify opportunities that directly improve execution, flow, quality, transparency, and value realization.

  • Develop and implement Agile maturity accelerators that help teams move beyond process adoption toward measurable improvements in delivery performance and business impact.

  • Partner with CCFT leadership to align Agile practices, team priorities, and product execution with strategic business objectives.

  • Drive transformation initiatives that improve how CCFT plans, funds, prioritizes, delivers, measures, and continuously improves product and technology outcomes.

  • Strengthen our operation and execution excellence by focusing on Incident Management and Live narratives across product teams within Commercial Tech.

People Leadership and Agile Capability Building

  • Provide direct management, leadership, and mentorship to Scrum Masters/BA, ensuring their work is aligned to business priorities, team outcomes, and Agile delivery excellence.

  • Shortlist, interview, hire, onboard, and develop Scrum Masters who can enable high-performing teams and improve delivery outcomes.

  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, Product Analysts, and Product Managers to strengthen Agile execution, product thinking, stakeholder alignment, and outcome-based delivery.

  • Establish clear expectations for Agile roles with an emphasis on value delivery, impediment removal, decision enablement, and continuous improvement.

  • Support performance development for Agile delivery roles by connecting individual contributions to team maturity, product outcomes, and organizational goals.

Coaching, Mentoring, and Enablement

  • Coach Global CCFT teams and leaders on applying SAFe, Agile, Lean, and product management practices in ways that improve business agility and execution effectiveness.

  • Provide practical guidance to teams on Agile events, roles, planning, prioritization, dependency management, and delivery practices that support better business outcomes.

  • Deliver training, enablement sessions, and workshops that help teams, leaders, and stakeholders understand how Agile practices enable faster decisions, better alignment, improved quality, and increased value delivery.

  • Facilitate workshops focused on outcome-based planning, product alignment, Agile governance, continuous improvement, and SAFe adoption.

  • Promote shared learning across teams to scale proven practices and improve Agile capability across CCFT globally.

Agile Governance, Metrics, and Value Measurement

  • Enable Agile governance practices that improve transparency, accountability, decision-making, and business alignment across CCFT product teams and Agile Release Trains.

  • Establish and promote the use of meaningful Agile and product metrics to measure delivery health, predictability, flow, quality, risk, dependencies, customer value, and business impact.

  • Help teams and leaders use metrics to make better decisions, identify improvement opportunities, and demonstrate progress against strategic objectives.

  • Conduct regular program reviews with stakeholders to provide visibility into delivery progress, risks, dependencies, value delivered, and outcomes achieved.

  • Ensure Agile measurement practices are used to drive learning, prioritization, and continuous improvement rather than solely administrative reporting.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and measurable value delivery across CCFT.

  • Identify systemic delivery impediments and partner with leaders and teams to remove barriers that limit speed, quality, predictability, or business value.

  • Drive improvements in planning, execution, feedback loops, prioritization, dependency management, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develop reusable accelerators, playbooks, coaching models, and operating practices that improve Agile maturity and business effectiveness.

  • Encourage experimentation and learning to help teams improve delivery outcomes and respond more effectively to changing business needs.

Agile Transformation Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a change agent by promoting the business value of SAFe, Agile ways of working, DPOM, and product-oriented delivery.

  • Collaborate with leaders, stakeholders, and business partners to build shared understanding of how Agile transformation supports CCFT’s strategic goals and business outcomes.

  • Help teams and stakeholders overcome resistance to change by clearly connecting new ways of working to improved delivery, stronger alignment, and better outcomes.

  • Build strong partnerships with the Agile Enablement team to scale knowledge sharing, accelerate capability development, and improve organizational Agile maturity.

  • Participate in stakeholder and leadership meetings to communicate transformation progress, business impact, risks, recommendations, and improvement opportunities.

Program Execution and Delivery Accountability

  • Support efficient program execution across CCFT by helping teams improve planning discipline, dependency management, risk management, decision-making, and delivery accountability.

  • Partner with Scrum Masters, RTEs, Product Analysts, Product Managers, and stakeholders to improve team performance and ensure execution remains aligned with business priorities.

  • Help teams understand stakeholder needs, decision-making workflows, business processes, and information requirements to improve delivery relevance and business value.

  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, including teams in the United States and international locations, to improve consistency, transparency, and delivery outcomes.

  • Ensure Agile delivery practices support product strategy, business objectives, operational excellence, and enterprise priorities.

Required Functional Skills and Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

  • 12 -17 years of experience managing, mentoring, and developing Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, Product Analysts, or Product Managers.

  • Direct hands-on experience with Agile and product software delivery in roles such as Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Product Owner or Product Manager, Agile Coach, or SAFe Practice Consultant.

  • Proven experience leading Agile transformations that delivered measurable improvements in delivery performance, team maturity, stakeholder alignment, or business outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of SAFe principles, Agile delivery practices, Lean-Agile mindset, Agile governance, product management, and continuous improvement methods.

  • Experience facilitating Agile training, workshops, coaching sessions, transformation planning, and outcome-based improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders and teams at all levels.

  • Experience collaborating with global and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Ability to connect Agile practices with business objectives, product outcomes, stakeholder value, and enterprise priorities.

  • Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and measurable value delivery.

Preferred Experience

  • SAFe Practice Consultant certification or equivalent SAFe leadership experience.

  • Experience supporting Agile Release Trains, PI Planning, Inspect and Adapt events, ART execution, and Agile program or portfolio governance.

  • Experience building Agile maturity models, value measurement frameworks, metrics dashboards, coaching playbooks, or transformation accelerators.

  • Experience driving improvements in time-to-market, delivery predictability, quality, stakeholder satisfaction, operational efficiency, or product value realization.

Leadership Expectations

The Agile Transformation Leader is expected to be a business-focused delivery leader who helps CCFT improve how it delivers strategic value. This role requires strong people leadership, business acumen, transformation execution, stakeholder influence, and the ability to connect Agile practices to measurable outcomes.

The successful candidate will model Lean-Agile behaviors, promote transparency, strengthen accountability, and help teams continuously improve how they plan, prioritize, deliver, measure, and realize business value.
