Description
A highly-rated private country club in Washington County, MD is seeking an experienced, dynamic Food & Beverage Manager to lead FOH operations and coordinate member events. This high-visibility leadership role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives on floor management, member relations, and capturing inbound banquet business without the pressure of cold prospecting. Position Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day FOH operations for Member Dining, Banquets and other social events.
- Manage and plan private banquets and golf outing events totaling roughly $500k in annual banquet revenue.
- Lead, train, and schedule FOH staff, dining room service personnel, and banquet teams to ensure superior service standards.
- Drive floor presence during peak dining windows, providing attentive service while managing daily guest and member engagement.
- Manage operational financials, including labor costs, scheduling, and F&B operational expenditures.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, General Manager, and House & Social Committees to organize and execute high-quality events.
Position Requirements
- 3+ years of management experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel, private club, or banquet operations.
- Strong background in event planning, coordination, and FOH team leadership.
- Demonstrated experience controlling operational costs, managing labor, and reading P&L statements.
- ServSafe Manager / Certified Food Protection Manager certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to member service excellence.
Compensation Package Details
- Base Salary: $75,000 – $82,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits, 401k w/match, PTO
- Commissions: Estimated $15,000 annually (3% on eligible banquet revenue)
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $3,000
- Schedule Benefits: Closed Mondays year-round (closed Tuesdays Jan - Mar)
