About Windrock Enterprises
Windrock Enterprises is a full-service design, procurement, and equipment dealer specializing in helping convenience stores accelerate their food service offerings. For over 31 years, Windrock has given small to mid-sized operators and general contractors access to end-to-end store design, equipment procurement, custom cabinetry, walk-in refrigeration, and gondola shelving — backed by in-house warehousing, logistics, and service technicians. Windrock is part of the CES Family of Companies giving it the reach and resources of a multi-state network with the responsiveness of a local partner.
Job Overview
Windrock Enterprises is hiring an experienced, motivated Outside Sales Representative to own and grow the Chicagoland and broader Illinois market. This is a hybrid role based out of our Chicagoland-area office, combining in-office collaboration with regular field time visiting convenience store and food service customers, job sites, and General Contractor (GC) partners. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in equipment sales — ideally foodservice, commercial kitchen, or related industrial/commercial equipment — along with experience building and managing relationships. You'll sell across Windrock's full range of solutions, including store and commercial kitchen design, equipment procurement, custom cabinetry, refrigeration, and installation/service, while acting as the single point of contact for your customers and GC partners from first quote through project completion.
Responsibilities
• Develop and grow relationships with convenience store operators throughout the Chicagoland and Illinois market
• Build and manage a pipeline of General Contractor relationships — sourcing bid opportunities through platforms like PlanHub, submitting competitive and complete bids, and establishing Windrock as a preferred foodservice equipment and installation subcontractor
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions through consultative selling, cross-selling across store design, equipment procurement, custom cabinetry/countertops, walk-in refrigeration, and gondola shelving
• Conduct in-person and virtual sales presentations and equipment specification reviews
• Serve as the single point of contact from bid award through project closeout, coordinating internally with Windrock's estimating, warehouse, delivery, and installation teams so equipment arrives on schedule and the job site stays on track
• Generate leads, follow up on prospects, and close sales to meet and exceed territory targets
• Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales, delivery, and installation process
• Split time between Windrock's Chicagoland office/warehouse and the field, managing your own sales pipeline while collaborating with the broader team
• Attend industry trade shows, GC/builder association events, and networking opportunities to prospect and develop new business
• Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and the competitive landscape to effectively advise customers and GC partners
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3–7 years of experience in equipment sales required — foodservice/commercial kitchen equipment strongly preferred; related commercial or industrial equipment sales experience will be considered
• Convenience store, restaurant, or broader food & beverage industry experience and relationships preferred
• Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with General Contractors, subcontractors, or working within a bid-driven construction sales environment strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of commercial kitchen and food service equipment highly desirable
• Familiarity with bid platforms (e.g., PlanHub) and/or quoting platforms (e.g., Autoquotes) is a plus
• History of proven, quantifiable equipment sales success
• Strong networking, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to independently manage a sales pipeline
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the Chicagoland and Illinois territory

Base salary plus monthly commission, commensurate with experience, with uncapped earning potential.
