North America University Programs Lead
Location: Vancouver WA, Houston TX
Reporting To: Global Director, University Recruiting & Programs
Function: Human Resources / Talent Acquisition / University Recruiting & Programs
Key Responsibilities
Internship & Graduate Program Management
- Own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of North America intern and graduate programs.
- Develop and execute annual program roadmaps aligned to enterprise talent objectives.
- Ensure a consistent and inclusive participant experience across all participating sites and organizations.
- Manage intern and graduate lifecycle activities including onboarding, engagement, development, recognition, and offboarding.
- Lead intern conversion planning in partnership with recruiters, workforce planners, and business leaders.
Onboarding & Participant Experience
- Implement standardized onboarding experiences across North America.
- Partner with Wayfinder, People Operations, IT, Payroll, and Site Leaders to ensure seamless onboarding execution.
- Create communications, webinars, office hours, toolkits, and resources for interns, graduates, managers, and mentors.
- Deliver learning, networking, executive engagement, and career development opportunities throughout the program lifecycle.
- Measure participant satisfaction and implement improvements based on feedback and program analytics.
Executive, Business & Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as the primary program lead for North America university talent initiatives.
- Partner with executives, HR leaders, hiring managers, workforce planning teams, site councils, and recruiters to align talent needs with program execution.
- Drive executive engagement activities, speaker series, intern showcases, and graduate development opportunities.
- Consult with business leaders on program strategy, onboarding readiness, and conversion planning.
Program Operations & Governance
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, approvals, and expense tracking.
- Maintain program policies, processes, governance standards, and compliance requirements.
- Track and report key performance indicators including hiring progress, conversion rates, retention, engagement, and diversity outcomes.
- Develop executive-ready dashboards, presentations, and quarterly business reviews.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful program delivery.
Campus & Talent Brand Collaboration
- Partner with university recruiting and programs teams to support strategic campus engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with employer branding, diversity recruiting, site leaders, and affinity organizations to strengthen HP's university presence.
- Support large-scale recruiting events, conferences, and talent attraction activities when needed.
Leadership & Influence
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver programming onsite in several sites and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Provide guidance and best practices to site leads, program coordinators, and regional partners.
- Drive adoption of global standards while tailoring program delivery to local business and site needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, Human Resources or related field.
- 5 years of experience in program management, recruiting program management, early careers program management, stakeholder management, talent development, HR, or a related field.
- Experience managing large-scale programs, internship, graduate, leadership development, or early career programs, or other program delivery.
- Strong project and program management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to measure program outcomes and drive decision-making.
- Developing experience using AI to automate, create, and simplify processes, documentation, reporting, and program delivery.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
- Experience working within a global organization.
- Knowledge of university recruiting, workforce planning, and talent pipeline strategies.
- Experience managing budgets and executive reporting.
- Familiarity with recruiting systems, talent platforms, and HR technologies.
- Experience leading large-scale change and process improvement initiatives.
Success Measures
In the first 12 months, the successful candidate will:
- Deliver a seamless North America intern and graduate experience.
- Guide the business to meet conversion and retention targets for university talent.
- Increase executive and manager engagement in university programs.
- Improve program satisfaction and participant engagement metrics.
- Strengthen operational excellence, reporting, and scalability across North America.
- Build strong partnerships across recruiting, HR, workforce planning, business leadership, and site teams.

Salary:
The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $152,000 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
