Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive regional revenue growth through the acquisition of new UHNW/HNW client relationships, deepening existing relationships, and expanding wallet share across investment management, banking, lending, and trust & estate services.
- Establish and execute a disciplined business development strategy aligned with the firm's national Private Wealth growth objectives.
- Serve as a senior relationship manager for a select portfolio of the region's most complex and significant client relationships.
- Partner with Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Retail Banking to generate referrals and cross-bank opportunities.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of Private Client Advisors, Investment Advisors, and Juniors, fostering a high-performance culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and client excellence.
- Recruit, retain, and develop top-tier Private Wealth talent to build a competitive and sustainable team.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular coaching conversations, and manage team performance in alignment with firm standards.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and adherence to the firm's values.
Client Experience & Relationship Management
- Ensure the delivery of a differentiated, white-glove client experience consistent with the firm's Private Wealth brand promise.
- Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive wealth plans tailored to the complex needs of UHNW/HNW clients, including investment management, tax planning, estate planning, philanthropy, and banking.
- Resolve escalated client concerns with speed, discretion, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Maintain a visible presence in the regional market through client events, community involvement, and thought leadership.
Strategy & Operations
- Develop and execute the regional business plan, including revenue targets, headcount planning, and market expansion strategies.
- Monitor regional financial performance, pipeline activity, and key metrics; provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Partner with Operations, Technology, and Compliance teams to continuously improve the client experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- 15+ years of progressive experience in private wealth management, investment management, or a related financial services field.
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing wealth management teams.
- Proven track record of growing a private wealth business and managing UHNW/HNW client relationships.
- Deep knowledge of investment management, trust & estate services, tax strategies, credit/lending solutions, and financial planning.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or equivalent) licenses required; additional licenses may be required based on role scope.
- Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred
- CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CPWA (Certified Private Wealth Advisor) designation.
- MBA or JD a plus.
- Existing network of UHNW/HNW client relationships and COI (Centers of Influence) in the region.
- Experience operating within a bank-affiliated or trust company wealth platform.
