Bartender — Private-Owned Country Club 

Overview

We are seeking a professional, friendly Bartender to join our team at the Colorado Springs Country Club. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service to members and guests, crafting high-quality cocktails, and supporting club events with polished, guest-first service.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome members/guests and take accurate drink orders in a courteous, professional manner
  • Craft cocktails and prepare beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverages to recipe and presentation standards
  • Provide signature craft cocktail experiences (as directed by menu and event needs)
  • Use the POS system to ring orders accurately, manage tabs/orders, and handle transactions per club policy
  • Verify age and ID when required and follow Colorado alcohol service regulations and club standards
  • Practice responsible alcohol service:
    • Monitor guests and behavior
    • Refuse service when required
    • Know how to escalate concerns appropriately
  • Maintain a clean, organized bar area:
    • Sanitize tools and surfaces
    • Restock garnishes/liquids/spirits/beer supplies
    • Keep glassware stocked and properly handled
  • Support events and high-volume service, including:
    • Member outings, tournaments, receptions, holiday events, and private functions
    • Set up/tear down bar stations as needed
    • Coordinate with servers, banquet staff, and management for smooth service
  • Maintain inventory awareness by tracking stock levels and reporting low supplies/breakage to management
  • Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times

  

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous bartending experience preferred (country club, hotel, restaurant, or event venue experience a plus)
  • Strong beverage knowledge, including:
    • Craft cocktail preparation and basic bar technique
    • Beer and wine service knowledge
    • Non-alcoholic drink preparation
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional, friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during events
  • Ability to learn and follow club recipes/standards
  • Responsible alcohol service knowledge preferred (training/certification strongly recommended)

  

Colorado Alcohol Compliance

  • Must follow all applicable Colorado laws and club policies for alcohol service, including:
    • ID verification when required
    • Refusal of service to guests who are intoxicated or otherwise prohibited
  • If you do not currently have ServSafe Alcohol Training certification, willingness to obtain it is required.

(Note: requirements can vary by role and employer—management will confirm training/certification expectations during onboarding.)

  

Schedule & Availability

  • Full-time or part-time (as needed by the club)
  • Availability required for:
    • Evenings, weekends, holidays
    • Seasonal/event-driven scheduling (tournaments  and member functions)

  

Physical Requirements (Typical)

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and stock supplies and restock as needed
  • Ability to reach, bend, and perform cleaning/sanitation tasks throughout shifts
