For our procurement department we are currently looking for Category Buyer, who will be responsible for achieving the KION Group overall strategic procurement requirements & targets for MRO category in EMEA region as well as act as the primary point of contact for the suppliers under his/her responsibility, leading business continuity, driving strategy, Vendor
Management, optimization, and enhancing digital and sustainable development of suppliers.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Tasks and Qualifications:
Define and implement category / sub-category strategy in EMEA region
Review supplier base, define robust preferred supplier base and optimization
Delivery of overall Indirect Procurement Saving targets, benchmark responsible category spend frequently, identify and implement savings potentials, lead supplier negotiations
Reporting of cost saving potentials and achievements (Cost Savings, Cost Avoidance and working capital improvement) by using the established Procurement templates and tools
Analyse Procurement data, ensure transparency and high quality of data in all KION Procurement used systems (e.g. SAP, Value Desk, etc)
Follow KION Group Procedures, work and cooperate closely with Local Site Buyers as well as internal stakeholders and ensure compliance across all Procurement activities
Build strong internal relationships and knowledge of organizational structure and key stakeholders
Improve and implement standardization for assigned category (standard documents, common services & goods, etc.)
Contract Management, ensure transparency of all contracts, reviewing terms and its validity frequently
Continuous Improvement of available Procedures and Systems in respect of Indirect Procurement
Global alignment and collaboration in case of potential synergies with KION EMEA APAC and NOAM
Good understanding of cost breakdowns of products and services and TCO method
Monitor and analyze market trends and supplier market in order to alter assigned category strategy appropriately
Your Skills and Expertise:
Preferred Education: Bachelor or Master's in business, engineering, or equivalent university degree preference is technical background or procurement related discipline
Preferred several years of professional experience (4 - 6 years) in the automotive industry or any other manufacturing or commercial industry
Experience in working in cross-functional teams and in an international environment
Experience in conducing procurement and negotiation projects (experienced with negotiations, project and contract management of international and local suppliers)
Demonstrates high personal motivation and ability to develop practical or innovative alternative approaches to meet objectives
Readiness to frequent business travel - approx. 15-20%
Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills; well organized, structured and able to set priorities.
Self-motivated and independent; focused on results; committed team player with strong listening and observation skills.
Fluent in English; German is an advantage but not mandatory.
