Department Description
We are looking for an individual who is motivated to give back to the community, work with the exceptional clinicians, students, and clinical faculty in HPU’s Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic. The clinic is open 40-hours per week and provides innovative and compassionate care to the greater High Point Community.
Job Description
The Pro Bono Clinical Aide position is essential to the function of the clinic. This job is ideal for a pre-physical therapy student and pre-health professionals but is open to all interested.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in HPU’s Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic located at the Oak Hollow Mall complex. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 20 hours per week for the summer semester.
Responsibilities:
• The Pro Bono Clinical Aide will assist in communicating with the patients, scheduling appointments, or completing any paperwork. This includes answering phones and scheduling patients online.
• The Pro Bono Clinical Aide will maintain treatment rooms and gym space in an organized and safe environment. In addition, the aide will assist the clinician by retrieving and storing equipment used during patient care.
• The Pro Bono Clinical Aide will monitor equipment to ensure that it is working properly and scheduling appropriate maintenance service. The Pro Bono Clinical Aide will monitor inventory stock and advise when ordering is required.
• The Pro Bono Clinical Aide will help with wiping down treatment tables and equipment, changing bed linen, and keeping the clinic clean.
• The Pro Bono Clinical Aide will assist with patient check-in and monthly patient reassessments.
• The Pro Bono Clinical Aide will be responsible for accurate filing and data entry of paperwork.
